Chippies Two Rand

Every time Michael and I arrive in a new country we can hardly wait to look through the grocery store. Each country has new surprises, but inevitably we spend the most time in the snack aisle. Here is a CHALLENGE! Everyone who guesses correctly gets a postcard. Which one of these flavors have we NEVER seen in a grocery:

Carribean Onion and Balsalmic Vinegar
Paprika
Roasted Chicken
Lamb Curry
Roast Beef
Biltong
Wild Mushroom and Sour Cream
Beer
Thai Sweet Chili
Yoghurt
Bacon
Heinz Katsup
Crab
Ham and Cheese
Smoked Turkey
Juicy Ham and Honey
Chili Pepper
Sour Cream and Dill

Good Luck!!

Yikes. This is a tough one. I'm going to have to go with Sour Cream and Dill. Jed thinks it might be crab. I have to admit, we googled "beer chips" because it sounded so weird, but they're real. (Sorry for the spoiler. I've tried some of the others, but I won't say which. Did you know they make Bloody Mary chips and Margarita chips, too? Weird!)

Happy New Year!!! (A little late)
I loved the pictures in your last couple of posts-they really captured what you have been seeing! Scott would love to see all of the grocery stores you have been to! He always likes to see what other stores look and function like and compare it to Super One! Christmas break is over...I'm ready for spring NOW!! I will have to do a little research before I take a shot at your trivia question!! Check out facebook for some new pics of the boys. Take care!!! REX

Beer. I bet you haven't found beer-flavored chips. It seemed to me that people like beer in Southern Africa for different reasons than taste... maybe in one of the other countries, i'm totally off...

I'm going to go with sour cream and dill. But can you send me a postcard even if I'm wrong? :) My address is

I say this everytime but your pics are amazing!! I esp love the one of the huge Xmas tree in the snow with the gorgeous building in the background! That makes me want to go to Romania for Xmas!! I spent Xmas on the beach and New Years watching the fireworks go off over the Harbour Bridge. It was so fun but definitely weird to celebrate the holidays in the middle of summer :) Love you two so much and hope all is well!!

I have no idea what biltong is, so can't imagine that you would slip a fake in that random. I suspect the meat based ones like roast beef and smoked turkey the most. I will also be surprised to find that they were brand specific on their ketchup--must be Steelers fans over there too.
Final answer: smoked turkey
